Before you run a report.
Where do you get the data?
Reports are compiled from title office records, insurance loss databases, auction houses, and service history providers, then cross-referenced against the VIN you enter.
What if my VIN has no records?
Some vehicles, especially newer or rarely-serviced ones, have thin records. If we can't return meaningful data, that report is refunded automatically.
Can I use this for a car I'm selling?
Yes — sellers often run a report first to catch anything a buyer's inspection would flag, like an open recall or a title brand.
Is my VIN search private?
Your lookups are tied to your account only and are never shared with dealers or listed publicly.
